I am just an ordinary person, but have lived long enough to see and feel unnecessary struggles and heartaches we humans bring upon ourselves. We are absorbed with self, judgment, unforgiveness, and more. We harbor feelings of fear, doubt, and worry. Besides all this, we suffer adversities and temptations. Basically, we hurt others and others hurt us. We were born this way. So can we trust our own reasoning,  emotions, and our decisions this way?

I remember when my daughter was ten years old, she said, "How does God help us nowadays?" An excellent question! I'm sorry I didn't answer it as well as I can now. This is how I should have explained it to her, "Oh daughter, just do nothing. Because we can’t be perfect, we need nudges and corrections from God and His Word. Through them you can walk close to Him, for Him, and with Him. If you feel sick, sad, angry, lonely . . .  anything, just go to the Scriptures. Each day you can trade your anxieties and problems for His way. He will help you manage stress, be more mentally active, keep you in a positive attitude, be more confident and loving towards others and yourself. Why, the Bible is full of self helps!"

God says, "For the eyes of the Lord goes to and fro throughout the earth, strongly supporting all whose hearts are completely His" (2 Chronicles 16:9).

The bottom line is, I have learned to simply do  nothing, but let God manage every step for what I need each day.  Psalm 23:1 says, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall lack nothing". I must remember to let Him be my Shepherd, then He will give me daily victories.
